L.M. (Al) Fering, SPHR, FLMI
Al Fering is President of Iowa Career Connection, LLC. His career
includes 20 years in corporate human resources management (from
internal recruiter to VP, Human Resources and Administration
with major insurance companies) prior to founding Iowa Career
Connection in January, 2000. He achieved designations of Senior
Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Fellow Life Management
Institute (FLMI). He completed the Executive Development Program
through the Life Office Management Association and is certified
in Behavioral Interviewing and Mediating Employee Relations
Disputes. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of St. Olaf College,
a veteran of the US Army and has lived in Des Moines since 1975.
He has been married to Martha for 37 years and has two children,
Chris and Erica. Chris is a sales manager in Seattle, WA and
Erica attends the University of Iowa in Iowa City. |

Miles Morrow, CPC
Miles has specialized in sourcing talent in the fields of accounting,
auditing, finance, and tax since May, 1985. His reach is Iowa
and the contiguous states and his specialty includes the sourcing
of CPA's for both the corporate and public accounting sectors.
Miles is a graduate of the University of Maryland and is a Certified
Personnel Consultant (CPC). Miles has lived in Ames since 1985
and has been married to his wife Paula for 34 years. His children
are Megan and John. Megan is a May, 2005 Iowa State Business
Major who is a placement professional in Austin, Texas. John
is a 2003 University of Iowa graduate and is a PhD student (Economics)
at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Miles is best known
for his caring and thorough approach to sourcing and matching
talent with the needs of his clients. |
